Medikea is suitable for anyone seeking affordable and convenient high-quality treatment for non-emergent medical issues; or medical advice, prescriptions, referral letters, sick notes or second opinion on a pre-existing condition. Our services are provided by trusted and experienced medical doctors who can treat almost anything that they can in a traditional face-to-face environment - minus the waiting, or travelling.
However, if you are below the age of 16, you must be accompanied by an adult (your parent / guardian) during your video consultation at all times. You must also be registered under your parent's / guardian's Medikea account prior to commencement of your online consultation.
All of Medikea Doctors are licensed and registered with the Medical Council of Tanganyika (MCT), the organisation responsible for overseeing medical doctors in the Tanzania. They're experienced in treating a wide range of conditions, and can help with almost everything your regular doctor could in a physical clinic or hospital.
We only hire only 10% of applicants, choosing those who patient-centred care is there top priority in practice. Each doctor or nurse practitioner undergoes an extensive background check and license verification process.

Online consultations are very much like the traditional clinic visits you have experienced already. Your doctor would ask you your age, allergies and previous conditions. You would then discuss the symptoms you have been experiencing, for how long and whether those symptoms are getting better or worse.
In the event the doctor feels they don't have the information necessary to treat you online, they will inform you that a physical examination is required and to visit a doctor at a clinic or hospital.
